Helper T cell activation via tetanus toxoid peptide refers to the immunological process in which CD4+ helper T cells are specifically activated by peptides derived from the tetanus toxoid (an inactivated form of tetanus toxin). This mechanism is central to the immune response elicited by tetanus vaccination. APCs process tetanus toxoid and present peptide fragments bound to MHC class II molecules, leading to T cell activation, cytokine production, and B cell help.
