Target intelligence / Profile preview
Hck (hematopoietic cell kinase) is a non-receptor tyrosine-protein kinase belonging to the Src family of kinases (SFKs). It is primarily expressed in myeloid and B-lymphocyte lineage cells, where it plays a crucial role in immune cell signaling, inflammation, and cellular processes like phagocytosis and migration. Hck regulates actin-dependent processes, participates in NLRP3 inflammasome formation, and modulates LPS-induced inflammatory responses. Dysregulation of Hck is implicated in various inflammatory diseases, making it a potential therapeutic target.
Hck inhibitors block the kinase activity of Hck, preventing phosphorylation of downstream targets involved in inflammatory signaling and cellular processes.
