HERC2 pseudogene 2 (HERC2P2, also known as D15F37S3) is a non-coding RNA transcribed from a pseudogene homologous to HERC2, which encodes a HECT-type E3 ubiquitin ligase. HERC2P2 does not produce a functional protein but may regulate gene expression post-transcriptionally, possibly via a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) mechanism that affects RNA splicing and modulates the expression of genes involved in cell cycle, proliferation, and tumor progression.
