Target intelligence / Profile preview
HERC2 pseudogene 6 (HERC2P6) is a human pseudogene related to the protein-coding HERC2 gene, which encodes a HECT domain-containing E3 ubiquitin ligase involved in DNA repair, pigmentation, and neurodevelopmental processes. Unlike its parental gene and certain other HERC2 pseudogenes, there are no specific published functional or biomedical data for HERC2P6. As a pseudogene, it is not believed to encode a functional protein or serve as a canonical drug target. The biological significance of its transcript, if any, is currently unknown.
No drug mechanism is described for HERC2P6, as it is not a therapeutically targeted or functionally annotated molecule.
