HERC2 pseudogene 7 (HERC2P7) is a non-coding pseudogene closely related to the HERC2 gene, which encodes a large E3 ubiquitin ligase involved in DNA repair, pigmentation, and tumor suppression[1][5]. Like other HERC2-related pseudogenes, HERC2P7 does not produce a functional protein, and there is no evidence for its involvement in any biological process, disease, or therapeutic targeting[2][4]. While some HERC2 pseudogenes (such as HERC2P2) have been studied as long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) with effects on cancer biology, HERC2P7 has not been implicated in any specific function, disease mechanism, or drug interaction.
