Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 pseudogene 12 (HNRNPA1P12) is a non-protein-coding pseudogene derived from the HNRNPA1 gene. Pseudogenes are genomic sequences similar to known genes but have acquired mutations or other features that prevent them from producing functional proteins. While some pseudogenes have been implicated in regulating gene expression via non-coding RNA mechanisms or as competitive endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs), there is no evidence that HNRNPA1P12 has any established function in human biology or disease.
