Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 pseudogene 24 (HNRNPA1P24) is a processed pseudogene derived from the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 (HNRNPA1) gene. It is located in intergenic regions and lacks protein-coding ability[1][3][5]. While some pseudogenes may be transcribed or exert regulatory effects in certain biological contexts, there is currently no evidence of functional protein expression or disease association for HNRNPA1P24. In contrast, the parental HNRNPA1 gene encodes a protein important in RNA binding, splicing, nuclear-cytoplasmic transport, and cellular stress responses, and has been implicated as a biomarker and potential therapeutic target in cancer and neurodegenerative conditions[4][2][6][3].
