Overview

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 pseudogene 29 (HNRNPA1P29) is a pseudogene in the human genome. While its sequence is highly similar to the functional HNRNPA1 gene, HNRNPA1P29 does not encode a functional protein and is not considered a therapeutic target. Pseudogenes are typically non-functional remnants of genes that may arise through gene duplication or retrotransposition. There is no evidence for a protein product, known molecular interactions, biological pathway roles, or clinical associations for HNRNPA1P29[1][7]. The true HNRNPA1 protein, but not this pseudogene, plays key roles in RNA processing, splicing, and other cellular functions[2][3][6]. Some pseudogenes can be transcribed into RNA and may have regulatory roles, but no such function is presently reported for HNRNPA1P29[1][7].\n\nNote:\n- HNRNPA1P29 is often listed only in genomic catalogs of pseudogenes and not in drug target databases or clinical literature.\n- Information about "heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1" refers to the functional protein, not to the pseudogene HNRNPA1P29[2][3][6].\n- Most molecular, biological, and disease data found in the literature for HNRNPA1 do not apply to HNRNPA1P29[1][7].
