Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 pseudogene 34 is a non-coding genomic sequence related to the HNRNPA1 gene, which encodes a member of the hnRNP family involved in RNA processing. HNRNPA1P34 does not produce a functional protein, but like other pseudogenes, it may have a regulatory impact on gene expression through RNA-mediated mechanisms. Pseudogenes can act as competitive endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs), competing for miRNAs and RNA-binding proteins, thereby influencing the regulation of their parental gene and possibly other genes.
