Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 pseudogene 34 is a non-coding genomic sequence related to the HNRNPA1 gene, which encodes a member of the hnRNP family involved in RNA processing. HNRNPA1P34 does not produce a functional protein, but like other pseudogenes, it may have a regulatory impact on gene expression through RNA-mediated mechanisms. Pseudogenes can act as competitive endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs), competing for miRNAs and RNA-binding proteins, thereby influencing the regulation of their parental gene and possibly other genes. While some pseudogenes have emerging roles in disease contexts, no specific function or therapeutic relevance has been identified for HNRNPA1P34.
