Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 pseudogene 36 (HNRNPA1P36) is classified as a pseudogene in the human genome[4][7][1]. Unlike the canonical HNRNPA1 gene, which codes for a functional RNA-binding protein involved in pre-mRNA processing, HNRNPA1P36 does not produce a functional protein and is presumed to have no biological activity or established role in disease. It is not considered a therapeutic target or a biomarker, nor does it have known interactions with drugs or implications for patient safety. The only clear association is to its naming similarity with the functional HNRNPA1 gene, but it should not be confused with that active gene[7][1].
