HNRNPA1P41 is a human pseudogene that resembles the sequence of the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 gene but does not encode a functional protein. Pseudogenes typically result from duplication or retrotransposition events and may contain sequence features similar to the parent gene but lack protein-coding capacity due to mutations, truncations, or lack of regulatory elements[1][7]. The functional heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 (hnRNP A1) is an RNA-binding protein involved in RNA metabolism, alternative splicing, mRNA transport, and cellular stress response[4][6], but HNRNPA1P41 itself has no such proven biological roles.
