Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 pseudogene 6 (HNRNPA1P6) is a human processed pseudogene, related by sequence to the protein-coding gene HNRNPA1, which encodes a key RNA-binding protein involved in pre-mRNA processing, alternative splicing, mRNA transport, and responses to cellular stress. However, as a pseudogene, HNRNPA1P6 does not encode a functional protein. Pseudogenes like HNRNPA1P6 may be transcribed and can sometimes influence molecular pathways—in particular, acting via non-coding RNA mechanisms to regulate gene expression—although there is no documented evidence for such biological activity in HNRNPA1P6 specifically. HNRNPA1P6 is not a therapeutic target, nor is it associated with approved drugs, mechanisms of drug action, biomarkers, or known safety concerns.
