Overview

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 pseudogene 63 (HNRNPA1P63) is a genomic DNA sequence similar to the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 gene but does not encode a functional protein. Pseudogenes are gene relatives that have accumulated mutations preventing them from being transcribed into functional proteins, although, in rare cases, pseudogenes may influence gene regulation by acting as noncoding RNAs[1][7]. HNRNPA1P63 is catalogued as a human pseudogene and has no established functional or disease relevance at this time[7].

Mechanism of action

None applicable. As a non-coding pseudogene, there is no known mechanism of action for drugs.

03

Biological functions

Pseudogenes typically do not encode functional proteins. Rarely, some pseudogenes may exert regulatory functions such as acting as competitive endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs) impacting gene regulation[1].No specific biological functions are attributed to HNRNPA1P63.
04

Disease associations

There is no direct evidence that HNRNPA1P63 plays a role in disease. However, some pseudogenes have been implicated in cancer and other diseases via regulatory mechanisms, but HNRNPA1P63 is not implicated specifically[1].
05

Safety considerations

None. As a pseudogene, it does not pose direct therapeutic safety issues.
06

Interacting drugs

None. HNRNPA1P63 does not encode a protein or functional molecule for drug interaction.
07

Biomarkers

None. HNRNPA1P63 is not validated or used as a biomarker.
