Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 pseudogene 76 (HNRNPA1P76) is a processed pseudogene of the HNRNPA1 gene. It does not encode a functional protein product and is not known to act as a therapeutic target such as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or transcription factor. While pseudogenes can play regulatory roles in gene expression, such as acting as competing endogenous RNAs or influencing mRNA stability, there is no evidence that HNRNPA1P76 has any biological, pathological, or pharmacological significance. Its parent gene, HNRNPA1, is a well-studied RNA-binding protein involved in RNA processing and implicated in cancer and neurodegenerative disease, but those roles do not apply to the pseudogene[1][3][4][9].
