HNRNPA3P1 (heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A3 pseudogene 1) is a non-protein-coding pseudogene located on chromosome 10. It is related by sequence to HNRNPA3, a protein-coding member of the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) family, which regulates pre-mRNA processing and nuclear export. While the protein-coding HNRNPA3 gene has roles in cancer biology and serves as a potential biomarker for cancer progression, HNRNPA3P1 does not have a known direct biological function, disease link, or drug interaction and is not considered a therapeutic target. HNRNPA3P1 is often confused with HNRNPA3 (an RNA-binding protein), which participates in mRNA binding/splicing and is linked to cancer pathogenesis and prognosis. However, HNRNPA3P1 itself is a pseudogene and not a functional protein target. For structured pharmacological and molecular data, only HNRNPA3 (not the P1 pseudogene) should be considered as a potential diagnostic or therapeutic target. The pseudogene should generally be excluded unless specifically required for genomic or pseudogene studies.
