Overview

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A3 pseudogene 2 (HNRNPA3P2) is a processed pseudogene in the human genome, derived from the functional HNRNPA3 gene[1][7]. Unlike its parental gene, HNRNPA3P2 does not encode a functional protein and is not involved in known biological processes or diseases as a protein product. Pseudogenes, in general, may have non-coding regulatory roles—such as RNA-based gene regulation—but there are currently no established biological functions or disease associations attributed to HNRNPA3P2 specifically[1][4].

03

Biological functions

None for the pseudogene itself; pseudogenes generally do not encode functional proteins.Emerging evidence suggests some pseudogenes may have regulatory RNA functions, such as acting as competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs), sponging microRNAs, or participating in chromatin organization, but no specific function for HNRNPA3P2 has been documented
04

Disease associations

None established for HNRNPA3P2 directly.Pseudogenes may sometimes be implicated in gene regulation related to disease, but no evidence is reported for this pseudogene
