Overview

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein C-like 4 (HNRNPCL4) is a predicted RNA-binding protein and a member of the HNRNP (heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein) family, which is involved in the processing and regulation of nuclear pre-mRNA into mature mRNA, as well as gene expression regulation[3][4]. HNRNPCL4 is predicted to localize primarily in the nucleus and shares homology with other HNRNPCL gene family members, such as HNRNPCL3[3][5]. Little is specifically known about HNRNPCL4 in terms of experimentally validated biological roles, molecular interactions, or utility as a molecular or therapeutic target. The gene has been associated with certain rare congenital disorders but is not recognized as a drug target or biomarker, nor is there evidence it functions as a receptor, enzyme, or transporter[3].
