Overview

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein H1 pseudogene 1 (HNRNPH1P1) is a genomic region highly similar in sequence to the functional HNRNPH1 gene but contains disabling mutations that prevent the production of a functional RNA-binding protein. Classified as a pseudogene, HNRNPH1P1 is generally considered transcriptionally inactive and nonfunctional, lacking direct biological activity or therapeutic relevance. While some pseudogenes may be transcribed and influence gene regulation through mechanisms such as acting as competing endogenous RNAs, this is not described for HNRNPH1P1 in the current scientific literature. It is not recognized as a therapeutic target, biomarker, or disease-related gene, and no drugs are known to interact with it.

Biological functions

None established for HNRNPH1P1 directly as it is a noncoding pseudogene.(Note: Pseudogenes may have regulatory roles, e.g., in competing endogenous RNA networks, but direct biological function for HNRNPH1P1 is not currently characterized.)
03

Disease associations

None directly established for HNRNPH1P1.(General: Some pseudogenes have been implicated indirectly in cancer by acting as competing endogenous RNAs, but specific roles for HNRNPH1P1 are not reported in current literature.)
04

Safety considerations

None specific, as it is not a drug target.
