Unlike the functional gene, HNRNPH1P2 does not encode an RNA-binding protein involved in alternative splicing, RNA stability, or disease pathogenesis. While some pseudogenes play regulatory roles in gene expression by acting as microRNA sponges or competitive endogenous RNAs, there is no specific literature indicating that HNRNPH1P2 itself serves these roles. The pathogenic and therapeutic relevance in cancer, autoimmune disease, and neurodegeneration pertains to **HNRNPH1**, not to its pseudogene HNRNPH1P2[1][2][5].
