High mobility group nucleosomal binding domain 2 pseudogene 3 (HMGN2P3) is a human pseudogene derived from the HMGN2 gene, which is involved in chromatin structure and brain development. As a pseudogene, HMGN2P3 does not code for a functional protein, but its RNA transcript may participate in regulatory networks, such as acting as a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) or a microRNA sponge, potentially modulating the expression of other genes. There is no evidence to support a direct protein-coding or therapeutic function, nor is it considered a clinical biomarker or drug target. Its relevance, if any, is limited to possible indirect regulatory effects in gene expression, currently an area of active research but not clinical application[7][8][9].
