Overview
High Molecular Weight Melanoma-Associated Antigen (HMW-MAA), also known as Melanoma Chondroitin Sulfate Proteoglycan (MCSP) or Chondroitin Sulfate Proteoglycan 4 (CSPG4), is a cell-surface chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan highly expressed on melanoma cells and involved in cell adhesion, migration, invasion, and metastasis. It is a therapeutic target for monoclonal antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, and CAR-T cell therapies.
