HLA complex group 15 (HCG15) is a non-protein coding gene located within the major histocompatibility complex (MHC/HLA) region on human chromosome 6[3]. It does not encode a functional protein or receptor but is classified as a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA). The biological function of HCG15 remains unclear; it does not participate in classical HLA protein presentation, immune signaling, or drug interaction. There is no evidence suggesting that HCG15 is a therapeutic target, disease biomarker, or relevant for drug development at this time.
