Target intelligence / Profile preview
HLA complex group 19 pseudogene (HCG19P) is a pseudogene located within the human HLA region. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but are nonfunctional; they typically do not encode functional proteins and do not participate in known biological processes or disease pathways. HCG19P does not have a known role in antigen presentation or immune response, and there are no reported interactions with drugs or relevance as a therapeutic target. It is recognized primarily as a genomic annotation in databases and not as a functionally relevant biomolecule.
