Overview

HNRNPLL antisense RNA 1 (HNRNPLL-AS1) is a putative antisense long non-coding RNA transcribed from the HNRNPLL locus. As of September 2025, there is no experimental characterization, biological function, disease association, or recognition as a therapeutic target in the literature or major genomic databases. Antisense lncRNAs in general can regulate their sense counterparts through mechanisms like mRNA stability modulation, RNA-RNA interaction, or alternative splicing, but such functions have not been attributed to HNRNPLL-AS1[5]. There is a well-characterized protein-coding gene, HNRNPLL, which encodes a splicing factor involved in immune cell differentiation[2], but no antisense RNA for this locus has been functionally described.

02

Biological functions

Other (Not characterized; by analogy to other antisense lncRNAs, may be involved in transcriptional/post-transcriptional regulation, RNA stability, or splicing, but no data is available for HNRNPLL-AS1 specifically)
03

Disease associations

Other (No evidence in the literature of direct involvement in specific diseases; no documented role in cancer, inflammation, neurodegeneration, etc.)
