Drugs like Venetoclax specifically target the BCL-2 protein within these pathways to induce apoptosis in leukemia cells (PubChem). However, because these pathways are ubiquitous and critical for normal physiology, targeting them requires high precision to minimize adverse effects on healthy tissues. Overall, these pathways serve as a broad framework for drug discovery rather than a single molecular target.
