HOXA10 antisense RNA - HOXA11 antisense RNA readthrough transcript" (ENSG00000293630) is a non-coding RNA identified at the genomic level, resulting from transcription that reads through from the HOXA10-AS locus into the HOXA11-AS locus on chromosome 7p15.2. There is currently no evidence that this readthrough transcript produces functional RNA products or that it is involved in critical biological processes or diseases. Most literature discusses only the individual roles of HOXA10-AS and HOXA11-AS lncRNAs, which may modulate gene expression, act as scaffolds for chromatin modifiers, or function as competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs). HOXA11-AS, in particular, has been found to act as an oncogene or tumor suppressor in several cancers, modulating cell proliferation, invasion, apoptosis, and gene silencing via interactions with transcription factors and epigenetic regulators[1]. However, there is no reported function, disease association, or biomarker/drug targeting information for the HOXA10-AS - HOXA11-AS readthrough transcript itself[2].
