Target intelligence / Profile preview
HS1BP3 intronic transcript 1 (HS1BP3-IT1) is annotated as a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene located within an intron of the HS1BP3 (HCLS1 Binding Protein 3) gene on human chromosome 2 (locus chr2:20590775-20592548, hg38)[3]. There is limited functional data regarding this transcript. Unlike the HS1BP3 protein-coding gene, which is involved in apoptosis, lymphocyte activation, and has rare mutations associated with essential tremor[1][2][5], HS1BP3-IT1 itself is non-coding and currently not considered a therapeutic target. It is not associated with any approved or investigational drugs, nor is it used as a biomarker or implicated in any particular disease state. Further study would be required to define its biological or clinical relevance, if any exists.
