Overview

HSDL2 antisense RNA 1 (HSDL2-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) located on chromosome 9, also known as bA32M23.3 or C9orf147[8]. It is classified as an RNA gene of the lncRNA class. HSDL2-AS1 does not encode a protein and is distinct from the protein-coding gene HSDL2. Current studies have found it differentially expressed in malignant pheochromocytoma and gastric cancer, suggesting it may serve as a biomarker for these diseases[1][2][6]. However, its precise biological function, molecular interactions, and therapeutic targetability remain unknown, and there are no known drug interactions or established roles as a direct pharmacological target[2][6].
