HSP90AB1 associated lncRNA 1 (HSALR1) is a long non-coding RNA transcribed from the human genome, identified based on its association with HSP90AB1, a molecular chaperone protein. HSALR1 has been shown to potentiate the non-classical TGF-β signaling pathway via Smad3, promoting activation of the Stat3/EZH2/FOXO3A axis, and increasing cell proliferation and resistance to apoptosis in cellular models. This lncRNA may contribute to the pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)[2], and is under investigation as a promising molecular target for therapeutic intervention in this context. There is currently limited evidence about its role in other disease areas or its interaction with small-molecule drugs[4][6].
For HSALR1, mechanisms involve modulation of HSP90AB1 activity, enhancement of Smad3-mediated non-classic TGF-β pathway (Stat3/EZH2/FOXO3A axis)
