Target intelligence / Profile preview
Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor Type 4 (HER4), also known as ErbB4, is a member of the ErbB family of receptor tyrosine kinases. Upon binding to ligands like neuregulins, HER4 dimerizes and activates downstream signaling pathways involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, survival, and migration. Unlike some other ErbB family members, high HER4 expression is often associated with favorable outcomes in certain cancers, particularly breast cancer.
