Target intelligence / Profile preview
The human growth hormone receptor (GHR) is a transmembrane protein that mediates the effects of growth hormone (GH), playing a central role in regulating postnatal body growth, metabolism, and various physiological processes across multiple organ systems. The GHR is encoded by the GHR gene and is expressed on the surface of many cell types throughout the body. Upon GH binding, GHR activates the JAK/STAT pathway, and mutations in GHR cause Laron syndrome.
Agonism or antagonism of GH binding, modulation of downstream signaling pathways (JAK/STAT)
