Target intelligence / Profile preview
HLA-A1 is a human leukocyte antigen (HLA) serotype within the HLA-A group, a major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecule. It presents endogenous peptide antigens to CD8+ T cells, playing a crucial role in adaptive immunity and immune surveillance. While associated with some diseases through linkage disequilibrium, it's clinically relevant in transplantation due to its impact on graft survival. It is expressed on all nucleated cells.
