Target intelligence / Profile preview
A cell that expresses one or more antigens (proteins) derived from Human papillomavirus type 6 (HPV-6). HPV-6 is a member of the papillomavirus family, classified as a low-risk HPV type primarily associated with benign lesions such as genital warts and laryngeal papillomatosis. The most commonly referenced antigens for HPV-6 are the major capsid protein L1 and early proteins such as E2, E4, E6, and E7. Expression of HPV-6 antigens triggers immune responses and serves as a target for prophylactic vaccines and diagnostic assays.
Prophylactic vaccination via VLP-induced antibody production
