Disruption in hydrogen peroxide metabolism is linked to a wide range of pathological conditions including cancer, inflammation, neurodegeneration, and aging. Hydrogen peroxide is also involved in cell signaling at low concentrations but is cytotoxic at elevated levels[2][6].
