IFT74 antisense RNA 1 (IFT74-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA transcribed antisense to the IFT74 gene, which encodes a component of the intraflagellar transport complex B[4][6]. While IFT74 protein is involved in ciliogenesis, tubulin transport, and is linked to several ciliopathies[5], there is no current evidence for IFT74-AS1 acting as a protein, therapeutic target, or biomarker. Most references to this locus are genomic or transcriptomic annotations, not implying direct biological, pharmacological, or clinical impact[4][6]. Any speculation of regulatory functions by antisense RNAs remains unconfirmed for IFT74-AS1.
