IgE-mediated mast cell activation is a central immunological process underlying allergic reactions and various inflammatory diseases. This mechanism involves the binding of immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies to high-affinity Fc epsilon receptor I (FcεRI) on the surface of mast cells. Upon subsequent exposure to specific antigens (allergens), cross-linking of these IgE-FcεRI complexes triggers mast cell activation, leading to degranulation and release of a wide array of mediators that drive inflammation and allergic symptoms.
Modulation of IgE binding to FcεRI, inhibition of downstream signaling kinases, or stabilization of mast cell membranes to prevent degranulation.
