Target intelligence / Profile preview
IGF like family member 4 (IGFL4) is a protein-coding gene belonging to the insulin-like growth factor family, a group of signaling molecules heavily implicated in cell growth, differentiation, and survival[4][7]. IGFL4 is predicted to function in signaling receptor binding and to be primarily located in the extracellular region[7][8]. While other IGF-related proteins such as IGFBP-4 and IGF-I/II play well-defined roles in growth regulation and disease, the specific functions, disease roles, and drug interactions of IGFL4 remain largely uncharacterized in scientific literature[4][7]. Currently, there is no evidence that IGFL4 is a direct target for therapeutic intervention or is associated with particular disease states.
