IGF2BP3 pseudogene 1 (IGF2BP3P1) is a non-functional copy of the IGF2BP3 gene that exists in the human genome, most notably on chromosome 7, with additional putative pseudogenes on other chromosomes. Unlike the functional IGF2BP3 gene, which encodes an RNA-binding protein involved in post-transcriptional regulation and implicated in cancer biology, IGF2BP3P1 does not encode a functional protein and does not participate in known biological pathways or disease processes. It is generally not referenced in the context of molecular drug targets, biomarkers, or therapeutic development.
