Target intelligence / Profile preview
IKZF3 encodes a hematopoietic-specific transcription factor belonging to the Ikaros family of zinc-finger proteins. It plays a crucial role in regulating B lymphocyte proliferation, differentiation, and maturation. The protein is also involved in chromatin remodeling and regulates gene expression in B lymphocytes through complex dimerization patterns. Dysregulation or mutation of IKZF3 has been associated with hematological malignancies, primary immunodeficiency disorders, and autoimmune diseases.
Transcriptional repression or activation depending on dimerization partners and genomic context. Influences lymphocyte development and function.
