Target intelligence / Profile preview
Zinc finger protein Aiolos (IKZF3) is a hematopoietic-specific transcription factor belonging to the Ikaros family. It plays a critical role in B lymphocyte development, differentiation, and maturation. Aiolos regulates gene expression through chromatin remodeling and interacts with other Ikaros family members. Disruption or mutation of IKZF3 is associated with hematological malignancies, immunodeficiency, and autoimmune diseases. It has also been identified as a prognostic biomarker for certain cancers.
Regulation of transcription through DNA binding and dimerization with other Ikaros family members, influencing chromatin remodeling and gene expression.
