Overview
The Immature Laminin Receptor Protein (iLRP) is a 37 kDa monomeric form of the laminin receptor, also known as Oncofetal Antigen (OFA/iLRP). It is highly expressed in embryonic and fetal tissues and is re-expressed on many tumor cells. iLRP promotes tumor metastasis by interacting with laminin. Due to its selective expression on tumors versus normal tissue, iLRP is considered an attractive target for antibody-drug conjugates, cancer vaccines, and aptamer-based targeted therapies.
