Target intelligence / Profile preview
An immune cell function modulator is a substance or agent that alters the activity of immune cells, either by stimulating or suppressing their function. These modulators can be natural (endogenous) molecules like cytokines, or synthetic drugs designed to target specific pathways within the immune system. Their primary role is to adjust the immune response—either enhancing it to fight infections and cancer, or suppressing it in cases of autoimmune diseases and transplant rejection.
Alters proliferation, activation state, cytokine production/signaling of immune cells.
