Overview

Dysregulation of these signaling modes is a hallmark of many pathologies, including chronic inflammatory diseases and the immune evasion strategies employed by tumors. Because this description encompasses thousands of distinct proteins and complex physiological processes, it does not constitute a single, discrete therapeutic target for drug development (Nature Reviews Drug Discovery, 2023).
