The T cell response is a central component of the adaptive immune system, involving specialized white blood cells called T lymphocytes (T cells) that recognize and respond to specific antigens. This response is crucial for identifying and eliminating infected or abnormal cells, orchestrating broader immune reactions, and maintaining immune balance.
