Target intelligence / Profile preview
The process of inducing immune tolerance through controlled exposure to allergens from Dermatophagoides farinae and Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus. This involves shifting the immune response from a Th2-dominated allergic profile toward a more regulated state, characterized by expansion of allergen-specific regulatory T cells, increased IgG4 production, and suppression of IgE and Th2 cytokines.
Repeated exposure to mite allergens promotes regulatory T cell development, induces IgG4 blocking antibodies, and suppresses IgE production, leading to tolerance.
