The Immunoglobulin G B cell receptor (IgG-BCR) is a membrane-bound form of immunoglobulin G that functions as the antigen recognition component of the B cell receptor complex on the surface of B lymphocytes. It plays a central role in adaptive immunity by recognizing specific antigens and initiating signaling cascades that lead to B cell activation, proliferation, and differentiation. The IgG-BCR consists of membrane-bound immunoglobulin G (mIgG) and signal transduction subunits (Ig-α/CD79A and Ig-β/CD79B). Upon antigen binding, the receptor triggers phosphorylation events within ITAMs on CD79A/B, leading to intracellular signaling cascades.
