Target intelligence / Profile preview
The immunoglobulin G (IgG) production pathway refers to the biological processes by which B cells generate IgG antibodies, as well as the industrial methods used to produce therapeutic IgG preparations from human plasma. IgG is the most abundant class of immunoglobulin in human serum and plays a central role in adaptive immunity, particularly in secondary immune responses.
IVIG: Anti-inflammatory/immunomodulatory effects: blocking Fc receptors on phagocytes; modulating complement pathways; inhibiting dendritic cell function; stimulating regulatory T cells
