CD64, also known as Fc gamma receptor I (FcγRI), is a high-affinity receptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies. It is an integral membrane glycoprotein that plays a key role in immune responses, including phagocytosis, antigen presentation, and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). Overactivation of CD64 can exacerbate autoimmune diseases, making it a target for therapeutic modulation. Its ability to bind monomeric therapeutic antibodies also makes it relevant for monoclonal antibody therapies.
