Target intelligence / Profile preview
Immunoglobulin heavy variable (II)-33-1 (IGHVII-33-1) is a human pseudogene located within the immunoglobulin heavy locus at 14q32.33. It is part of the immunoglobulin heavy variable region gene family, but does not encode a functional variable domain or have a protein product. Unlike functional immunoglobulin heavy variable genes—which contribute to antibody diversity through V(D)J recombination—IGHVII-33-1 does not produce a variable domain or participate in antigen recognition or humoral immunity. It has no established biological function or disease association, and is not considered a therapeutic or diagnostic target.
