Immunoglobulin heavy variable 1-69D (IGHV1-69D) codes for the variable (V) region of the immunoglobulin heavy chain molecule, which is a part of the antibody structure involved in antigen recognition. The variable regions of immunoglobulin genes are assembled from V, D, and J gene segments through V-(D)-J recombination, producing antibody diversity.
